News from the AGM

At the AGM the future of TADS looked rather bleak with vacancies for the important posts of: Treasurer, Archivist, Programme Organiser, Newsletter Producer and Outings Organiser. There were no volunteers for any of these posts. However, since the AGM the posts of Treasurer and Newsletter Producer have been filled, and Alan will continue as Archivist until he leaves the country. Bob Brown had secretly been putting the 2006 programme together, but after 20 years he really does want someone else to take it on. The post of Outings Organiser remains vacant, and thanks go to Bob Bysouth for his enthusiastic work during the last two years.

If TADS is to continue as you know it, we need volunteers for the vacant posts. Now is the ideal time to volunteer and learn with the help and experience of those currently doing the jobs. The tasks are not particularly difficult and can provide a lot of enjoyment.

The Committee is now:

Chairman Bob Brown

Vice Chairman & Membership Secretary Derek Ward

Treasurer Jim Cole (supported by Lorna)

Archivist Alan Cooke

Projects Carol Stevens

Committee Secretary Ian Burn

Programme Organiser Vacant (covered by Bob)

Outings Organiser Vacant

Newsletter Production Richard Brown (supported by Derek)
